Well, it was fun while it lasted and now on to the New Year.
Kids did very well this year, both in behavior and gifts...
yet, we made it a point to (honestly) point out that Christmas
is not ALL about the gift receiving, nor the giving! You get the point.
So, Christmas Eve with the Mitchel's, Rizzo's, Camerons and Benjamins...
Kids everywhere and fun had by all.
Christmas morning was last minute preperation for the kids to get home.
We had a "treasure hunt' for gifts based on answering questions derived
from the Christmas story in Luke 2. The kids were asked questions and when answered
properly (multiple choice or T and F) they would get a clue which led
them to the present. We had fun with that. The clues finally led to the BIG
gift for the year (home PC).
The day carried on then we headed to Ramsey to visit Dad and his wifes family.
It was pretty mellow and relaxing. Good stuff, just what we needed.
Christmas night we indulged in movies and treats and drifted away into dreamland.
Thanks Santa for sweet dreams...what?!
And on went the weekend...gift playing, gift card purchases and the like.
So here we are, nearing the New Year festivities. Bring on 2010, please.
I have a feeling its gonna be a good one!!!
Come back for some HI-Lites of the past year, NO lo-lites invited...hahaha.
Enjoy the holidays.
